Sacred Scrolls
Framed Fine Art Print | Ilford Gold Fibre Pearl | 70 × 50 cm
Sacred Scrolls captures a quiet moment of contemplation and contrast. A nun, cloaked in shadow, stands absorbed in the glow of her phone—an unexpected communion of the spiritual and the digital. The stark play of light and silhouette turns a mundane wall into a canvas of tension and stillness. The figure’s shadow becomes a second presence, echoing the timeless ritual of reading, ancient and modern layered in a single gesture.
The photograph is framed behind anti-reflective glass in a handmade ash wood frame, stained black to enhance the deep tonal range of the image. Each frame is individually crafted in my studio with careful attention to detail and proportion. A white-stained version is also available on request.
